Been a while since I posted on here, apologies. After my last post we had a great week of wind and waves at Punta and I decided to try and learn tweaked pushloops. On my first day I got really close, got them quite tweaked but couldn't quite land them, then at the end of the session I tweaked my ankle and limped off a little despondently. After 3 days of rest (and missing some epic sailing) the ankle started to feel a bit better so I went back out at Punta for round 2 and got some really nice ones, but no real clean landings. I was determined to crack it but then the wind dropped down just a touch and I should have stopped trying (think you need a lot of wind for them) but I kept on and then I did the same crash on my ankle as I had done 3 days previously. That was 2 weeks ago now and I am just starting to be able to sail again. Grrrrrrr. Had a couple of nice sessions down at Puerto Lajas this week, teaching Liam from Ireland and helping Lucy to prepare for the Tenerife comp, and the ankle feels OK. Just as well, I have 7 more days then it's full-on clinic time starting with the boys from Surfdock again (can't wait for that one) and continuing right through July until we go to Tenerife.
Anyway, I took some frame grabs from the video that day so you can check them out here, might have to take it easy on learning them now until all my clients have left though ;)
And lastly, check out a nice stalled forward from Glass beach just before the ankle incident...
